Release notes

otwatch is a continuously maintained service. Each release lists changes, the supported OpenText versions and known limitations. Customers are informed of releases by e-mail before they are rolled out to production.

Release cadence

• Monitoring content (checks, alert rules, dashboards): as required and with new OpenText releases.
• Platform components (Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, exporters): regular maintenance releases on supported community versions.
• Security updates: according to the vulnerability remediation timelines, critical issues immediately.
• Releases are named by year and month, e.g. 2026.10.

• Public documentation at otwatch.ch/docs: architecture, security and data protection, installation, administration, end-to-end tests, log management, dashboards and reports, upgrade, integrations and API, open-source documentation, FAQ, training and support.

Supported OpenText versions

• OpenText Extended ECM / Content Server, Archive Center, OTDS, Search and Intelligent Viewing from 22.x onwards; annual x.4 releases recommended.

Known limitations

• Anomaly detection and root cause analysis are rule- and statistics-based; AI/ML-based detection is not provided.
• No automatic topology discovery; dependencies are defined per transaction flow.
• No distributed tracing (APM) of real-user transactions; transactions are measured with end-to-end tests.
• Knowledge Discovery monitoring is assessed per project.
• The OpenText Monitoring Agent runs on Windows and Linux installations; on Kubernetes, monitoring endpoints and Kubernetes integrations are used instead.
